Find and fix anything in your table — instantly.
Press Ctrl+F to search across every cell. Press Ctrl+H to replace — one match or all at once. The browser's native find bar doesn't understand your table. Tablesmit's does.
Benefits
Searches every cell, not the page
Ctrl+F in most browsers finds text on the webpage — not inside a table's cells specifically. Tablesmit's find intercepts the shortcut and searches your table data directly.
Replace one or all
Ctrl+H opens find and replace. Step through matches one by one, or click Replace All to update every matching cell simultaneously.
Highlights matches as you type
Every matching cell highlights in real time as you enter your search term. The active match is indicated separately so you always know where you are in the results.
Replace all is undoable
Replace All updates every matching cell in a single operation — and writes a single entry to the undo stack. Press Ctrl+Z once to reverse the entire replacement.
How it works
Press Ctrl+F to find
The find panel opens in the top-right of the table area. Type your search term — matching cells highlight immediately. Navigate with the up and down arrows in the panel.
Or press Ctrl+H to replace
The replace panel adds a second input below the search term. Enter what you want to replace it with.
Replace one or all
Click Replace to update the current match and move to the next, or Replace All to update every matching cell in one step. The match count updates as you go.
Press Escape to close
Press Escape or click the X to close the panel. Cell highlights clear and focus returns to the table.
Use cases
- Correcting a misspelled company name that appears in 15 rows of a table
- Replacing an old product code with a new one across an inventory table
- Finding all cells marked 'Pending' and checking how many there are before replacing with 'Complete'
- Searching a large contact table for a specific city or department name
