Work the way your eyes prefer.

Toggle dark mode from the navbar or let Tablesmit follow your system setting. The entire interface adapts — table, sidebars, panels, and all export previews.

Benefits

Follows your system preference

On first visit, Tablesmit reads your system's colour scheme preference. If your OS is set to dark, Tablesmit opens dark — without touching a setting.

Toggle from the navbar in one click

The sun and moon icon in the navbar switches between light and dark instantly. Your preference is saved and remembered across sessions.

Every element adapts — including the table

Backgrounds, borders, cell content, sidebar panels, dropdowns, and tooltips all switch correctly. The table grid is readable in both modes — borders stay visible, text stays legible.

Designed for long sessions

Writing and data work often runs for hours. Dark mode reduces eye strain in low-light environments — especially for late evening research and report work.

How it works

1

Click the moon icon in the navbar

The moon icon (dark mode off) and sun icon (dark mode on) sit in the right side of the navbar. Click to toggle.

2

Or let it follow your system

If you have not manually toggled, Tablesmit uses your OS preference — set in System Preferences (Mac) or Display settings (Windows/Linux).

3

Your preference is remembered

The setting is stored in your browser. On your next visit, Tablesmit opens in the mode you last used.

Use cases

  • Researchers working late at night who need a low-glare interface during long analysis sessions
  • Writers who prefer dark interfaces for extended focus work
  • Developers and technical users who keep their entire OS in dark mode and want their tools to match
  • Anyone in a low-light environment where a bright white interface causes strain
